Military & Overseas Electors (UOCAVA or FPCA)

Military and Overseas electors may register to vote electronically up to 8:00 pm (MDT) on election night. Please logon to sosmt.gov/elections/military-overseas/, for complete details regarding the Montana Electronic Absentee System (EAS). Note: the EAS is for voters covered under the Uniformed and Overseas Citizen Absentee Voting Act (UOCAVA) only. A user must affirm their eligibility under this Federal Law before using the system, under penalty of perjury. See application in next section.

Federal Post Card Application

Completing and email the Federal Post Card Application (FPCA) to mhowell@libby.org is the best way for a UOCAVA voter to register to vote. The FPCA is good for every election that is held in the year that it is received, plus the next 2 regularly scheduled Federal Elections. Please be sure to contact your Election Administrator at the Election Office whenever there is a change of address. The FPCA can also be returned to county elections by mail if email is not available. Members of the military can also obtain an FPCA from their Voting Assistance Officer. Civilian overseas voters can obtain an FPCA from any U.S. embassy or consulate.
