The detectives are on call on a rotational basis to assist patrol deputies and other agencies with investigations. The division works closely with federal, state and local agencies to resolve cases as quickly as possible.  One of the detectives specializes in investigations of sexual and violent crimes against women and children.  Two of the detectives specialize in narcotics cases.

Registrations, community notifications, and registration violation investigations are conducted through the Investigations Division. For municipalities, registration is conducted through the local police department.

The Investigations Division is committed to providing an advanced level of expertise to the investigation, resolution and prosecution of crimes against persons and property.
