Current Board Members

Lincoln County Representative: Jan Ivers (Chair)
Ms. Ivers joins the board and brings a wide range of medical experience. Jan is currently an instructor of Nursing at the Flathead Valley Community College and has been an RN at Cabinet Peaks Medical Center and St. Johns Hospital. Jan has past medical technology experience and is a former Registered Sanitarian for Sanders County. In 2014, Jan joined the Peace Corp and was assigned to Malawi, Africa working as a nursing instructor with the University of Malawi.

Jan was born in Glasgow, Montana, but has lived in Libby for the last 14 years. She enjoys sewing, quilting, reading, Sudoku, bicycling and more recently, national politics. Jan is married to husband, Keith, of 37 years, who teaches French in the Libby School districts. Together they have two daughters and two grandchildren. They also have two dogs, one an squirrel hunting hound and the other a rescue cocker spaniel.

Lincoln County Representative: George Jamison (Vice Chair)
Mr. Jamison joins the board with over 45 years as a consulting civil engineer, before retirement. His areas of practice included geotechnical and environmental projects throughout US. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Illinois and Montana. George is also retired Army engineer officer, having served over 20 years in the Army Guard. He was elected to Village Board, was appointed to a Fire district board and has served on numerous technical, professional, church and community organizations at all levels.

George is an Illinois native, before becoming a property owner in Lincoln County about 10 years ago. He enjoys woodworking, fishing, genealogy, and photography among other hobbies. George and his wife, Mary Lou Goodpaster, share 4 children, 7 grandchildren and 2 Jack Russell Terriers.

City of Libby Representative: Lyn Thompson (Secretary)
Ms. Thompson joins the team as a medical technologist with 21 years of experience in the field. She has worked at Cabinet Peaks Medical Center for the last 19 years and has experience working with Kalispell Regional Medical Center Lab, Marcus Daly Hospital Lab (Hamilton), Children’s Clinic (Helena), and the Public Health Lab in Helena. Lyn graduated from Carroll College in Helena with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Chemistry.

Lyn was born in Glasgow, Montana and has called Libby home for the last 19 years. She has 3 children Trey (15), Taryn (13), and Teague (9) with husband Dean with whom she has been married for 18 years. Lyn’s hobbies include supporting her busy children and husband who coaches for Logger Athletics. In her spare time, Lyn is an Independent Consultant for Thirty-One gifts.

Lyn would say her key to success is “being a life-long learner, being organized, and being thankful.”
